About us

We are a private members club (E1) with no affiliation to any other division. We have chosen to break with the usual traditions and have opened up membership to all who want to apply online. We have become disillusioned by the British unionist (political) stance of a fair few of our creed's elder members.

As progressive Celts, our roots are in no way entwined with the conservative politics of British unionism, in any of its various guises. Some of the Division's senior members have been happy to sit and sing rebel songs whilst sleekitly backing any of the two main British political parties, the Conservative & Unionist Party and the British Labour Party.

We are steadfast in our desire to bring about a 32 county Republic and we conceive that one of the surest ways to bring that about is in simultaneously delivering Scotland's independence from the British state, and hopefully the Welsh will also get to their feet.

Britain is no friend of Ireland, or any of the other Celtic nations, Brexit and some of the anti Irish and anti Scottish rhetoric used by its adherents clearly illustrates this.

Ireland has historically bore the brunt of Britain's political decisions, experiences that are now being felt by the people in Scotland. Scotland has been a welcoming home to many of Ireland's sons and daughters down through the years, it has been a home from home, and we feel a tremendous sense of solidarity with the ambitions of the country's fast growing independence movement.

Our creed is a renewed Irish republicanism standing in solidarity with our Scottish brothers and sisters. If you are of a similar mindset, then hit follow and if interested in political campaigns, we are in the process of setting up the AOH Scotland membership, which will be open for you to join. Cead [ceud] mile failte.
